Thank you Ka Perry Callanta for enlightenment: Tama Po Si Marcos

I was 12 years old, grade 4 pupil sa elementarya nang edeklara ang Martial Law ni dating Pangulong Marcos.
Salamat sayo Ka Perry Callanta for enlightenment.
huling habilin: MagkaisaTungoSaTagumpay...

Heart-talks of Dave Lamar - President Duterte is not a puppet

I just hope that the International Media would become fair to see the truth from those headlines of events happening in the Philippines that fed to them by some bias Filipino journalists from biased media networks in the Philippines with intentions to demoralize President Duterte, his government, and the Filipino people.
Below is a copy of the letter written by a foreigner that is already flying across the internet - expressing his high regards to our beloved President Duterte. I just hope whoever reads it would feel the message.
----------------------------------------------------------
Hi! I'm Dave Lamar. I'm half Filipino, Half American. I was born in Lucena City, I was raised in Sariaya, and I call the Philippines my home. Ever since I can remember Filipinos have always despised the government, and for good reason.
How can you respect a government that's suppose to help and protect its people when they do the complete opposite? How do you respect your leaders when your leaders are the ones taking your hard-earned money and just putting it in their pockets?
For the first time in my short existence on this planet, I finally see people that respect the leadership that was elected. I talk to taxi drivers, fishermen, farmers, our neighbors in our barangay, and just everyday common people and they all share the same sentiments about Duterte.
Yes he's a little rough around the edges and he uses language that is unorthodox for a president, but for the first time, I see a leader of this country that is genuinely passionate for his people.
A president who hurts when his people hurt. Who curses at the injustice that has been going on here for decades. Who doesn't hide behind the security of a TelePrompTer or speechwriter? Who's love and sincerity for this country is undeniable! For the first time, I'm seeing more and more Filipinos having more pride in their country not just because some Filipino singer sang on Elen, won a boxing match, was in a Hollywood movie, or was recognized in some international way that has no impact on our personal lives.
For the first time, we have a president that is fighting for his people and is trying to instill the pride that has long been stolen from us. He is fighting the criminals that have ruled this country for decades. Yes, drug lords and politicians! He's going against the tide, turning tables over left and right and cleaning house.
So what if he pissed off Obama? There are millions of AMERICANS that hate Obama because he's the complete opposite of Duterte. He may be clean-cut, speak more eloquently and be more "classy" than Duterte but actions speak louder than any flowery or colorful word you can utter. Duterte is trying to tell us to stop putting America up on a pedestal and to start having pride in our own country, our own lands, our own people! America has its own problems and so do we.
I love the Philippines and its people! I think it's about time we take a hint from Duterte and we start having more pride in this beautiful country just because we are Filipinos and not for anything else. For the first time, there is a leader and president that I finally respect.
Mr. President, thank you for everything you do for the Filipino people! I know you're not perfect, but your actions clearly speak louder than any cursed word you utter. (To be continued in part 24)

The world respects and considers President Duterte an honest man of law

Sa kabila ng mga batikos na natatanggap ni Pangulong Duterte mula sa International Communities which are the results of feeding news reports from those biased media networks from the Philippines like ABS-CBN, Rappler, Inquirer, GMA7 and from other biased individual journalists, the popularity of President Duterte has not declined instead, it is increasing very steeply. And more people of the world respected him and looked at him as an honest man of law.

Below is a copy of a conversation between an American guy who is talking to his Filipina friend. Just hope you will find it interesting.
Hey Felicia. I'm sorry to hear about what's going on in your country right now. Hope your family is okay.
Pinay: Why? What's wrong?
Kano: Haven't you read the news? There's been a lot of killings going on. The elected President is running the country with his reign of terror. They say he is a mass murderer and he is committing genocide.
Pinay: Oh, you mean the killings? Those are legitimate police operations. Those were criminals and drug peddlers killed because they resisted arrest. Wow! Genocide? That's like killing 6 million in a holocaust. That's just too much. Don't believe that. My family has never been better. In fact, this is the happiest they've been since the new President took office.
Kano: Really? Why so?
Pinay: Yeah. Because change has come. Just in less than three months, he's done so much. Did you know that we already have a 911 emergency response? 700,000 plus drug addicts and peddlers voluntarily surrendered for rehabilitation. More than 10 mining firms closed down because of illegal operations. They're making the country self-sufficient in producing rice. Stranded OFWs were rescued in Saudi Arabia. The railway transit is being repaired and is much more efficient now. The President goes after the drug lords and corrupt politicians. The government is engaging in peace talks with the rebels. They're hunting down the terrorist group down south. Crime has gone down 49%. It's so much safer to walk down the streets now.
Kano: Wow! For real? I haven't read those in the news.
Pinay: Yes. Because media outlets here only report the negative ones. Most media corporations in the Philippines are owned by oligarchs. That's why they try to bring down the President because they are scared of him.
Kano: Thanks for telling me this. No wonder Filipinos always have good things to say about your new President.
Pinay: That's right. For the first time in my life, I've seen a President that we can really trust. He has the approval of 91% of the Filipinos. Oh, and by the way. Don't believe that it's chaotic in the Philippines. We will be hosting the next Miss Universe and you can go and visit.
Kano: That would be lovely!
================
The point is that no matter how hard they would destroy President Duterte in the international community, there will always be a Filipino who will defend him and tell the truth. (To be continued in part 22)

June 30, 2016, signals many changes to happen in the Philippines

At the time President Duterte took his oath as the newly elected president of the Philippines on June 30, 2016, it signaled many changes to happen in the country. The actions were officially intensified on July 1, 2016, with a war against illegal drugs in the whole country. The start had become a bloody war between drug-pushers, drug-users, and the authorities headed by PNP Chief General Bato. There were hundreds of thousands of drug-pushers-users have surrendered and hundreds of thousands of drug-pushers-users were arrested and hundreds of drug-pushers-users were killed when they resisted the police authorities during the raid operations.

(To be continued in part 21)
My personal observation and opinion...

Ways to communicate Search Engines

Search Engines Optimization - Photo Credits Pixabay

Paul said the life of the published articles, news stories, and other stories, created videos, and photos will depend on the online audience. The online audience is no other than the online surfers and the search engine crawlers. They are the online judges to determine how effective are the articles. For this reason, you bloggers, and other online writers should write what you know and should always remember your audience. They would help you boost traffic and possibly make your articles, and other stuff viral online.

For Paul, it is healthy and productive to always use the social networks available online to promote articles and other stuff. However, it is also important to write and to publish what you know and to remember who is your online audience - they are the Net surfers and search engine crawlers.
At the time Paul started his blogging activities online with the different hosting sites like WordPress, Blogger, Weebly, and other sharing revenue sites like Wikinut, Triond, HubPages, and ExpertsColumn - the importance of a sitemap was not his concern. He just loved to write articles containing different subjects and to publish them online.
However, at the time he started running his own website, he has to learn the proper way how to communicate the search engines. And one of the many ways he learned from SEO experts is to create a sitemap for his site. He also has to ask from his Google forum group - how to create a sitemap and how does sitemap work?
It is said that sitemap suggests to visitors what page to hang on found on that particular site and it also tells search engines about the organization of the site content. And the presence of a sitemap on Web site serves as a helping tool for online surfers and for the online crawlers to navigate easier from a Website page to another page of the content found on that particular Website.

Video credits YouTUbe link: SEO Tagalog Tutorial
He also referred to Wikipedia regarding this matter. The site has recorded two popular versions of a sitemap. One is an XML Sitemap which is a structured format that a user doesn't need to see, but it tells the search engine about the pages in a site, their relative importance to each other, and how often they are updated. Second is HTML sitemaps which are designed for the user to help them find content on the page and don't need to include each and every sub-page. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.
Paul said the above heading of this write-up is the title of the article he published at Triond. It was published on January 17, 2015, at HealthMad, one of the publishing sites powered by Triond that year - after he revised its title as advised by Triond editors that said the title should contain at least three relevant keyword tags. On the first day of publication, the article garnered 562 views.
However, the next day January 18, 2015, the article received 10,907 views and then followed 11,171 views on January 19, 11,233 views on January 20, 12,202 views on January 21, 13,998 views on January 22, 13,720 views on January 23, and on January 24, 2015, it received 13,207 views, and at the end of January 2015, the article (Sitemap Guides Surfers, Ways to communicate Search Engines) garnered a total number of 86,104 views.
In that article, Paul simply used some of the stand-alone pages that include short descriptions to tell his would-be visitors and online crawlers what every page is all about and to show the mechanic and ways how to guide his visitors to a certain page content as well as how the Web site communicates search engines.
Of course, it really takes time to write it and to complete it, said Paul. He has to re-checked every detail especially for the back-links, photos, and other information needed for his presentation as part of the marketing strategy. For him, it was history because it was his first published article that garnered the highest views ever out of the more than 500 articles he has published at Triond since he started writing for the site in August 2010.

But In the quarter of 2014, Paul decided to stop writing for Triond after he found out that most of the articles he published there have received only minimal views and traffic, added that the site has changed some of its writing rules and guidelines, such as the approval time for the article submitted for publication takes it for three days and above and Triond editors have enforced its contributors to inject at least three keywords tags on every article title.
Of course, Paul understands that those new policies applied by Triond are to improve its site’s position on search results as well as to help attract online surfers and to improve its communication strategy with search engines and to avoid the penalty of Google updates that until to date still on watching and penalizing sites that published plagiarized items or copied items from other authors and those sites engaged of cloaking practice to increase potential views. Living with those unforgettable memories

My Way - Paul version
One of Paul's most memorable moments during his vacation last May 4 to June 16, 2010. Bonding with my family, friends, and relatives was his priority.

It is exactly equivalents to 28 years, seven months and fifteen days - his wife Imelda has enjoyed life with him and with their three lovely and loving children. For more than 28 years, they have enjoyed a married life full of beautiful dreams for the future ahead. They have never fought or have shouted at each other. But sad to say, Paul's wife has already gone on the 24th of July 2015.
Paul still remembers the happiness he felt when Imelda delivered their first baby angel which was a boy on October 16, 1987. They gave him the name Jeffrey. However, in his nine months on this planet, the boy died. And it took Paul and Imelda almost a year on mourning.
But the good news followed when in April 1989, Imelda conceived their second baby which was a girl and she delivered her on December 5, 1989. They gave her the name Fe. And in 1991, November 21, again the couple welcomed another baby girl, they gave her the name Khar and again they received another blessing from the Almighty, Imelda has again conceived another angel and has delivered her on December 30, 1992, and they gave her a name Joy. She was the last angel Imelda has conceived before she expelled her last breath on July 24, 2015.

Imelda left Paul behind and her three loving children with her love and those beautiful memories of hers and her bereaved family will always cherish them as time passes by. (To be continued in part 15).

Nourah Alkhereiji of Arab Newspaper, the first person who encouraged Paul to write

Video credits belong to Luis Fonsi - Despacito ft. Daddy Yankee - from the Collection of songs of Nourah Alkhereiji YouTube Channel

It was Nourah of Arab Newspaper, the first person who encouraged Paul to blog. Also, it was her pushed him to pursue his plan to study Journalism and Short Story writing courses with the Writers Bureau in Manchester, London in 1999-2000 by mail and with the ICS - International Correspondence School in Pennsylvania, the USA in 2000-2001 also by mail - during those years, he was working with Kawasaki Helicopter (S.A.) Limited as an account analyst - owned by Sheik Abed-Leilah Kaki of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the period from March 23, 1994, to April 30, 2012.

On January 31, 1999, he wrote a letter and sent it off to the editor-in-chief of Arab Newspaper - Mr. Khaled A. Al-Maeena for Nourah Alkhereiji whom he mistakenly addressed as Big Mister.

His letter reads, "Hundreds of thousands of OFWs have loved, saluted and commended Nourah for his dedication to writing such exposes, to edify readers to know behind the perception, disregarding any race". It was approximately 22-year passed from the day Paul wrote the draft.
He thought Nourah was a guy. His daring exposes re "Mutawwas give self a new role" as they loved to impose the law - mandated in the prevention of vices and promoting virtues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Arab Newspaper published the said article written by Nourah on January 30, 1999.

Arab Newspaper - an English language newspaper in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

After a week, gaiety filled Paul's heart - he received a letter from Mr. Tarik Alkhereiji - the brother of Nourah telling him that Mr. Al-Maeena, the editor-in-chief of Arab Newspaper forwarded the letter to Nourah. He said his sister wanted to thank him for his encouraging letter and she wanted to point out too - that mistake Paul had in referring to his sister Nourah as big Mister.
Immediately, Paul replied to his letter. He explained to him what caused his mistake. A few days later, Paul received again another letter from Mr. Tarik telling him that his sister has understood it, the reason why Paul made that mistake.
That mistake Paul made addressing Nourah as a big Mister has pushed him to write more and more.
With the help of the Internet, Paul started to look for an online group where he could exchange ideas with all the members of the group. In 2000, he started to create his personal blog at Blogger.com.
Of course, love is his other reason why he would write. Like Nourah Alkhereiji - who loves to write about anything that interests her even the English language is not her language according to his brother Tarik - most of her news articles were written in her Arabic language. Nourah is a daring and competent writer that the Arab Newspaper must be proud of. Wish she can read this piece - Paul's simple way to say "Thank You".
Like Nourah, Paul could write too because he has love in his heart. He has the desire to become a writer too, someday. Because of love, his interest to write about anything and everything that he mostly liked and loved is growing every day. (To be continued in part 14)

Why Filipinos are preferred workers? The plight of overseas Filipino workers on foreign lands

While working, Paul also has devoted his time to writing poems, essays, articles, and stories of different subjects and themes. Paul found them interesting hobbies, especially during his spare time. Also, he found them as the best medicines and effective ways to fight homesickness. Most of his poems "mga Tula" were written in the Pilipino language.
Below are sample of Paul's poem collections with subjects and themes are about life and some political issues happening on his country, namely:
Hiyaw Ni Juan Dela Cruz
Panaghoy ni Inang-Bayan
Isang Mundo Nilikha Ng Tao
Gusto Mo Ng Masayang Buhay
Balimbing Ko'y Hitik Na Ng Bunga
Mas Mahal Pa Sa Diyamante’t Ginto
Ngiti at Kaway sa Darating na Halalan
Mga Anak-Pawis Ay Simbolo Ng Lakas at Katapatan
Dapat Bang Maglimos O Hindi Sa Pulubing Kaawaawa
Sa alaala ng dating Dean Felicitas Balino, Leyte Colleges, Tacloban

Manunulat ng tula nais palaganapin ang Wkang Pambansa - featured on Pinoy Xtra

On January 4, 2009, the Editor of Pinoy Xtra, Arab News Mr. Rodolfo C, Estimo Jr. has featured Paul in their newspapers. Pinoy Xtra is 8 pages - its contents are written in the Pilipino language about life, adventures, and other things important to the Filipinos in the Middle East and around the globe. Pinoy Xtra is printed every Sunday with the English Arab Newspapers in the Kingdom.
This is a free eight pages provided by Arab Newspapers to its Filipino readers. These Tagalog newspapers are accepting contributions like poems, personal stories, news stories, business stories from Filipino writers and OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) from around the world.
Paul said that Arab Newspapers - the number one English Newspapers in the Kingdom was the first to publish some of his letters to the Editor that started in 1994. And he has become one of the contributors of Pinoy Xtra since its inception in 2004. And he has already published several poems or mga Tula, letters to Editor, and other Editorial pieces under the names Paul Pruel and Paulino O. Pruel. He said that both Arab Newspapers and Pinoy Xtra have inspired him to continue his writing hobby not only in print but also in online writing.

Pinoy Xtra is a free eight pages provided by Arab Newspapers to its Filipino readers

Aside from Pinoy Xtra and Arab Newspapers, the Editor of an online website the OFWGuide.com has also featured Paul as Bayani Rin Ako! Featured OFW entitled: Things Get Better and Better. It was featured on May 20, 2009. The story was about Paul's first 15 years in the desert. If interested to read the above story - you may visit the site and look for "Things Get Better and Better". It is still available on their website.
I quote what Paul's message for the million OFWs in the world said,

(To be continued in part 13)

I am not American: Language variations make people different

CopyRights of the video clip belong to UNTV News & Rescue: Language vs Dialect: Language variations make people different and can cause headaches too.

As recorded in Paul's journal, he said that it is vitally important too to learn the language of the host country - this is needed especially for immigrant workers when talking to people of that country who cannot speak the English language.

It was around 10 AM on June 11, 2011, when one of Baladiyah personnel (a Saudi national) arrived at Paul's place – a showroom of home decors and other home accessories where he was working with. Paul was managing this showroom for a couple of years since it started on March 23, 2008.
The building where Paul was occupying was divided into two showrooms - separated by some concrete and gypsum board walls. Each showroom was selling different stuff. The showroom where Paul was working was for antique decors and other home accessories. The other showroom was for building instruments and other measuring tools.
The owners of these showrooms were Saudi nationals - they were brother and sister. The licenses for these showrooms were conjoined into one document with each specification approved by Baladiyah Department. This department was responsible for the issuance of licenses like business licenses, building construction licenses, and other licenses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
When the Baladiyah guy asked Paul about the license of the showroom where he was working, he had nothing to show off to him instead, Paul had explained that the person who was keeping it was on the other side - so the Baladiyah representative asked Paul to call the person. And Paul asked the other salesman from the other showroom to speak to the Baladiyah guy in Arabic. Following Paul's request, his friend started the conversation with the Baladiyah representative.
After a while, Paul's friend explained to him what the Baladiyah guy wanted and said, “The showroom where Paul is working should have its own license because this is a different showroom. Otherwise, this will be closed.” In addition to it, the Balladiah guy started writing a document in Arabic language using their Baladiyah letterhead. Thereafter, he requested Paul to affix his signature on the document.

Arabic-Baladiyah Letterhead

Of course, Paul has no intention to object to what the guy wanted him to do. Although when Paul asked him to translate it first to him in the English language what he has written on the document, the guy quickly replied in his Arabic language and was translated to English by Paul's friend said, "You’re not American to request such English translations for this Writings!”
That very moment, Paul has raised his voice as his reaction without thinking that he was talking to a person who does not speak English. Paul said, “My friend, why I should have to affix my signature in the document when I could not understand what was written there. I asked you to explain to me but you can’t. I don’t affix my signature to any document if the language used is not clear to me.”

Read also the below-published articles

Paul further said, “It's better to refer you to our office here in Riyadh or leave the document to me and I would send it off immediately to my boss for his decision and action.” That followed the Baladiyah guy had decided to leave the place and their conversation ended up but leaving the document to Paul without Paul's signature.
After that incident, Paul immediately photographed the document and sent it off to his boss who at that time was in Jeddah by attaching it with the email he wrote with some explanations about what the Baladiyah guy has suggested.
When Paul got home that night, what the guy said was popping up into his head the whole night and Paul realized that language variations make people different and can cause headaches too. But the real problem Paul has encountered on that day - he was not American! (To be continued in part 12)
